Letter to Members - Planning Matters
To all members:

(Also below is a copy of the letter written to Christchurch Borough Council, protesting at the proposals in the Regional Spatial Strategy.)

Planning Matters

We are all concerned for the future of Highcliffe and in particular about the adverse effects of the current planning regime. Following the debate at the March Quarterly Meeting of Members it was resolved that the Executive should make those concerns known to as many bodies involved in the planning process as practicable from the Borough to Westminster.

Alongside this letter you will see the letter that has been written to Christchurch Borough; similar letters have been sent to The South West Region, Dorset County Council and Christopher Chope MP.

If you are concerned and wish to make your concerns known then the relevant addresses are;

Michael Turvey Esq.,
Chief Executive and Town Clerk,
Christchurch Borough Council,
Civic Offices, Bridge Street,
Christchurch, BH23 1AZ

Ms Jackie Longworth., Chair,
South West Regional Assembly,
Dennett House,
11 Middle Street,
Taunton TA1 1SH

John Peake Esq.,
Chairman,
Dorset County Council,
Colliton Park, Dorchester DT1 1XJ

Christopher Chope OBE, MP,
House of Commons,
London SW1AA OAA

I, the Executive, and all those who care about the future of Highcliffe urge you to write because if you do we may be able to change things; if you don’t we certainly won’t.

Yours sincerely.

Peter G. Martin

CHAIRMAN
